NHSA U10 Festival
The U10 Festival is sponsored by NHSA. It is a fun-filled day of short, non-results oriented matches between recreation U10 teams from organizations all over the state. It was established in 1998 by Bruce White and became an instant success. Only member regular season recreation U10 teams are invited to participate.
To keep the integrity of recreation play, U10 and below teams that participate under or through a competitive league are not permitted. Scores are not kept and there are no standings or awards. The kids have a great time playing against other teams. Not only is this a diversion from their normal recreation routine, they get to play under a USSF certified referee, meet other players and have a great time. Additionally, a "goodie bag" and a free camp skills area put on by NHSA trained coaches. Players can participate in these skills sessions between matches. A food vendor is on site for the convenience of the spectators.
The format is 6v6 and games last about 20 minutes each. Depending on the number of entrants, we plan 3 matches per team. Currently, the 2008 U10 Festival is at Manchester West, Piscataquog Fields, on Precourt Streeet, Manchester, NH. U10 Festival is held in October each year prior to the American Cup.
