Olympic Development Program
NHSA is proud to participate in US Youth Soccer’s Olympic Development Program. USYS started the program in 1977 to identify a pool of players from which US Soccer Federation can select the players for the National Youth Teams to compete in international competitions.
NHSA ODP offers teams for Girls and Boys U12 – 17 (birth years 2009 – 2004). The program consists of three distinct phases.
WORKING THROUGH THE PANDEMIC:
In an effort to maintain safety, the winter training program, NH Futures, was moved from the winter of 2020-21 to the fall of 2020 so that the program could be held outdoors.
NH ODP care deeply for the safety of the players, families and coaches. Therefore, NH ODP continues to follow all CDC, national and local government social distancing protocols.
The East Region ODP Tournament and summer ODP Identification Camp will mark the end of the 2021 ODP season. It is time to start preparing for the 2022 ODP season.
The ODP seasonal cycle begins with open tryouts in June. The open tryouts are to identify and select players for the winter NH Futures Training Program. The NH Futures Training runs from mid-November through February. At the end of the NH Futures Training Program, the State ODP Teams are selected.
All NH players who meet the age group birth years are eligible to register and participate in the ODP differed tryouts. The deferred tryouts are be held in conjunction with the NH Futures Winter Training Program.
Deferred Tryout Date Options:
The fee for the deferred tryouts is $35. The fee covers the cost of the session and all players receive a NH Futures training shirt.
All players must pre-register for the deferred tryout. Click on the link above to complete the registration.
Players will arrive to the tryout dressed to play soccer and bring their own water and an inflated soccer ball.
If you have questions about the tryout registration, please contact Ed Royer, NH ODP Administrative Director.
