New Hampshire Soccer Association
Competitive soccer begins at age 9 and is primarily for dedicated soccer players who desire to further their careers by focusing primarily on a single sport and playing at a highly competitive level.
Competitive Player – Tryouts are held to identify players on the basis of talent and ability.
Competitive Team – Teams will play in leagues based on performance.
Competitive League – Travel is common in competitive soccer to ensure teams are playing equally competitive teams.

The US Youth NH State Cup Championship is the entry-level competition of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series. Team from 12U to 19U (20U in 2021) teams are invited to participate in this event. The winners from the NH State Cup Championships advance to the Eastern Region Championships. Winners from the Eastern Region Championships in the 13U to 19U age groups advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.
The US Youth Eastern Region Championships begins with teams in all 15 state associations vying for their State Championship titles. State Champions in these age groups and champions of the Regional National Leagues are eligible to compete in the US Youth Soccer Eastern Region Championships.
The US Youth Soccer National Championship Series caps a year-long tournament, which features competition for boys and girls teams in the 13U through 19U age groups. The tournament begins with the Champions from each of the US Youth Regional Championships. Only Regional Champions are eligible to compete in the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series.
In addition to the Eastern Region Championships, the winners (or finalist if the winners are not available) from the NH State Cup Championships are offered the opportunity to attend the Eastern Region Presidents Cup the next seasonal year. US Youth Soccer Regional Presidents Cup events will determine the regional qualifiers that will compete in the US Youth National Presidents Cup. Regional winners in the 13U through 17U groups, both boys and girls, will vie for the national title.

Please Note: The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is a separate series of events from the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series.
The New England Invitational Tournament is an annual event that rotates through the New England States each fall. Each state invites their state league’s division 1 champion to compete against the other states champions in a weekend round-robin tournament. This event is by invitation only.
