June 8th 2021 COVID 19 UPDATE

SPRING 2021 COVID 19 UPDATE
June 8, 2021
Due to the drop in COVID 19 cases across NH and the vaccination rate pushing 60%, the New Hampshire Soccer Association has decided to drop its mask policies for all vaccinated players, coaches, spectators and participants.

  • Equipment and bench area sanitation and hand sanitation is still a must
    • Please remember town, facilities or organizations may impose further restrictive measures for facial coverings for participants and spectators, these heightened restrictions take precedence

The NHSA Executive Board thanks all its members for their continued support. NH is among a few states in the nation with little transmission between players and/or coaches and no record of transmission between two different teams. The NHSA will continue to monitor look closely as we finish the spring season, enter the summer season and plan for the fall.

Thanks,

Rusty Wightman

SPRING 2021 COVID 19 UPDATE
May 21, 2021
There have been many questions related to our current policies and mandates in response to the latest CDC announcements. The New Hampshire Soccer Association has decided to keep its current policies in place for the remainder of the spring season. This includes all leagues, facilities and organizations.
NHSA asks:

• Players, coaches, referees, and spectators continue to wear facial coverings while entering and exiting
a field or facility (indoor or outdoor)
• Upon a negative screening from coach or team manager, players may remove their mask to play or practice
• Upon a negative screening, referees are permitted to officiate matches without a facial covering
• Coaches/team managers must wear facial covering at all times
• Spectators are asked to wear facial coverings at all times
• Equipment and bench area sanitation and hand sanitation is still a must
• Please remember town, facilities or organizations may impose further restrictive measures for facial coverings for participants and spectators, these heightened restrictions take precedence

The NHSA Executive Board thanks all its members for their continued support. NH is among a few states in the nation with little transmission between players and/or coaches and no record of transmission between two different teams. The NHSA will look closely at these policies after the spring season, we see things moving in a very positive direction.

International Premier Futsal League affiliates with NHSA & USASA

International Premier Futsal League (IPFL) becomes affiliated with the New Hampshire Soccer Association.

“We are really excited to announce this affiliation,” said Jared Barbosa, the CEO of International Soccer Club (ISC). “Over the past few months, we have been able to have great conversations with NHSA board members, they are really fostering ideas around providing the appropriate platforms that are conducive to overall long-term player development.  With the development of the IPFL, we see it as an additional platform to allow amateur level players to showcase their skills and increase opportunities for additional recruitment and exposure with the intention of leading to higher levels of play. Within our league, we are seeking to create the most competitive environment possible.  It is important to us that we have players/teams that are in it for the same reasons, to compete and develop.  We are very excited to get this going and have big plans for the future. “

NHSA President, Rusty Wightman said “The New Hampshire Soccer Association is pleased to announce our support to the International Premier Futsal League. This new league will provide opportunities for adults to play in an affiliated competitive environment, offering futsal teams the ability to showcase their skills and talents in NH. Players will register under the NHSA and become members of the United States Adult Soccer Association. We are excited to see the game grow in the Granite State! “
